Craig is available to speak on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to the following:

The Future of God: Spirituality in an Evolving Universe

Few scientific revelations have done as much to alter our worldview as the discovery of evolution. In the century and a half since Charles Darwin's Origin of Species rolled off the printing press, science's growing recognition that we are evolving creatures who live in an evolving universe has profoundly transformed our understanding of ourselves and our cosmos. But where religion is concerned, this new understanding has for many been a hard pill to swallow. Here in the United States, where battles pitting creationism against evolutionary theory still regularly make the headlines, it sometimes seems that the very notion of evolution is inherently incompatible with a spirit-based worldview grounded in a timeless, ultimate reality.

But is this latest conflict in the age-old science and religion debate really as intractable as it seems? Can evolutionary science and religious faith ultimately find common ground? And morever, is it possible that evolution might not only be reconciled with religion but in fact become the very foundation of a rich, new spiritual vision? In this talk, Craig Hamilton explores the emerging worldview of "evolutionary spirituality"—a hopeful new paradigm in which science and spirit come together and invite us to step up to our roles as co-creators of the future.

The Quest for a Science of Consciousness

Brain science is giving us a window into the nature of our minds—and ourselves—that no previous generation could have imagined. As researchers race to uncover the neurobiological bases of even the highest aspects of human experience, it often looks like the self, soul, consciousness, and even God are on the verge of being reduced to the mere firing of our neurons. But can neuroscience alone account for the mysteries of consciousness—for paranormal phenomena, near-death experiences, and mysticism? Or do we need a new scientific paradigm that is as true to the human heart as it is to the laboratory?
Join Craig Hamilton as he searches the uncertain ground between biology and mysticism for a theory of consciousness that embraces both science and the soul.

Unleashing the Power of Collective Intelligence

In a world where many of us are still apt to think that there is nothing genuinely new under the sun, something seems to be emerging on our collective frontier. Around the country and across the globe, from corporate boardrooms to policy think tanks, people are responding to an impulse to come together in shared exploration. And in their midst, something miraculous is being born. Call it collective consciousness, team synergy, co-intelligence, or group mind, a growing number of people are discovering in their own experience that wholes are indeed far more than the sum of their parts; that when individuals come together with a unified intention, in a conducive environment, something mysterious can come into being with capacities and intelligences that far transcend the individuals involved. And the implications for the way we understand ourselves, and the way we work together, are as startling as they are profound.

But just as collective mind can uplift us, we have also seen countless examples of how pathological "groupthink" or the "herd mentality" can lead to untold atrocities. It seems that groups magnify us at our best and at our worst. How do we distinguish between healthy collective wisdom and pathological "groupthink"? How can we harness the creative power of collectives toward the resolution of our most complex problems? Join Craig Hamilton for a talk and discussion on the mysterious power of collective intelligence and how we can use it to transform ourselves, our organizations, and our world.
